NINA'S HOUSE?

Nina's House represents an advancement of the family centered model for child welfare practices in Rhode Island. Nina’s House is where social workers work with families to train, teach and model parenting and behavioral skills needed to assist families with appropriate permanency planning.

The facility is designed to feel like a home--to provide the environment, resources and program structure where professionals improve supervised parent-child visitation practices.

Nina’s House is privately funded by The Nina Foundation and sponsorships from local, large business and institutional partners.  It will is operated and maintained by a qualified third party partner on DCYF’s behalf as an “exceptional asset” for child welfare and the City of Providence.

Beneficiaries:  Children and parents from the greater Providence area who are impacted by issues of abuse and neglect.
